Children naturally live a whimsical life. We are drawn to babies and children because, through their pure innocence and curiosity, we see and experience the wonder of life.

Children don’t tend to overthink things. They aren’t overly concerned with a perfect outcome. They show up to live life to the fullest and experience the pure joy of the moment.

Being childlike doesn’t mean being childish. When Jesus was asked who is the greatest in the kingdom I’m sure many were surprised when his answer was to become as a child. (Matthew 18)

Summertime offers us opportunities to follow our curiosity for the sheer purpose of play and to experience wonder and joy over seemingly small things.
