Picture a summer morning, where the sky blushes with hues of pink and gold as the sun begins its majestic ascent. The horizon, a canvas of endless possibilities, is painted with a spectrum of colors that gradually merge into the pure, luminous light our eyes perceive. Each dawn is a reminder of the miraculous transformation that occurs when night yields to day, and darkness gives way to light.

Scripture uses the analogy of light several times in reference to Christ as well as you. Matthew 5:14-16 says it like this…

“Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.”

You, beautiful one, with your unique gifts and way of being contribute to the vibrant mosaic of creation. So, as the days grow longer and Summer Sun shines brighter, remember your role as a light-bearer. Let your life-light shine with unabashed joy and generosity and illuminate the path for others revealing the wondrous God-colors in the world.
